Women's Ministry
The women of First Baptist Church of Lake Waccamaw meet
regularly for various activities and events that include:
- Ladies' Bible Studies
- Sew & Sews Quilting and Sewing Group: the "Sew & Sews" is a group of ladies that meet on Wednesdays to sew. We have been sewing for 11 years and our primary source of funding is donations. We have made bags for walkers and wheelchairs, turbans for cancer patients, sheets and bibs for a pregnancy center and quilts for hurricane victims, abuse centers, nursing homes, newborn babies and street people. More than 2,000 of our quilts have been sent around the world to places including Alaska, Florida, Kentucky, South Dakota, Louisiana, Virginia and Africa. God has truly supplied our needs from day one! We welcome new members!

- Women's Visitation Program
- Women's Missionary Union (meets on the last Wednesday of each month): the Women's Missionary Union (WMU) is a Christian ministry for the ladies of the church. We meet on the last Wednesday night of every month to study the work of missionaries in the United States and abroad. We also have a monthly project that focuses on one of the needs in our community.
